Becky has been gluten free for well over a decade and wrote her Christmas book because she wanted to ensure no gluten free person ever has a Christmas that was as stressful and deflating as her first. Here she explains why she’s imploring you to get behind our Christmas Raffle by entering:
“Like many of us, my Christmas cheer was often overshadowed by a fear of being glutened for many, many years. So, I think it’s fab that Coeliac UK is there for us to offer much needed support, guidance (and great recipes!) to ensure everyone has a healthy happy gluten free Christmas and help us to just feel ‘normal’ again.
“Christmas shouldn’t be all about food, when you’re gluten free it’s sometimes hard to imagine things being any other way! My first Christmas on a gluten free diet was a total disaster. I felt like an inconvenience, I couldn’t eat a thing and yet somehow ended up getting glutened.
“Fast forward to today and fortunately I now feel like I’ve conquered Christmas and I have every confidence that you can too. Why? Because you don’t have to go through the long process of recreating all your festive favourites one-by-one because myself and Coeliac UK have already done that part for you!
“But as I’m sure you’ll agree, there’s still more that can be done to make the lives of gluten free people better.
