Coeliac UK is here to support when a young person is diagnosed with coeliac disease. On this page you can find information to cover everything from dietary planning at home to support whilst in education. We want to help you and your child to navigate living gluten free with confidence.
Belly Bunch

Young Champions
Designed for children aged 5-11-years-old, the pack has lots of information and activities that you can share with your friends, teacher and club leaders, to help them understand more about coeliac disease and support you better.
Teen Virtual Club
Hosted by our fantastic team of young volunteers, Teen Virtual Club is exclusively for young members of Coeliac UK who are 12-15-years-old. It is a relaxed safe space to share experiences with other young people living with coeliac disease.
Coeliac UK Connect
CoeliacUK.Connect_ is a private Instagram community exclusively for Coeliac UK members aged 16-19. It has been developed to provide a safe, empowering, and uplifting space for our younger members to connect and share their experiences of navigating life as a young person with coeliac disease.

Quick facts:
- Coeliac disease means is that you can’t eat foods that have gluten in them
- Gluten is in wheat, barley and rye. These are called grains, but you will know them mostly as flour, so it’s in regular bread and cake
- Gluten can also be found in soups, sausages and other food you might not expect, like chocolate
- If you do eat something with gluten it might upset your tummy, or make you feel poorly
- A gluten free diet is the only way to manage coeliac disease and we’re here to help
