Lidl recalls Chicken & Vegetable Soup due to undeclared cereals with gluten

Lidl NI is recalling Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup because of undeclared barley (gluten) and wheat (gluten). Due to a packaging error, the soup has been packaged into the incorrect Sweet Potato & Chicken Soup tub with the correct Chicken & Vegetable Soup lid. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to barley, wheat or gluten.

Action taken

Lidl NI is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant consumer, allergy and patient support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
