Coeliac UK Connect is a private Instagram community exclusively for Coeliac UK members aged 16-19.
Developed to provide a safe, empowering, and uplifting space for our younger members to connect and share their experiences of navigating life as a young person with coeliac disease.
It is run by Coeliac UK young volunteers, Ameila and Marie-Claire, and supported by the team at Coeliac UK. The channel will be sharing a range of content including delicious gluten free recipe ideas as well as the latest news from the Coeliac UK community.

“It was a huge shock to be diagnosed… Within weeks of going gluten free I noticed huge improvements and after around 6 months I was feeling better than ever!.. I have found a love for cooking and experimenting in the kitchen and I honestly don’t think I would have tried so many new foods if it wasn’t for my diagnosis”
Marie-Claire
“I was diagnosed with coeliac disease at 16. When the GP told me I didn’t even know what coeliac disease was. Today, I look back on my diagnosis with a sense of gratitude, because the gluten free diet has helped prevent any further long-term damage to my health.”

Member2Member programme
Our Member2Member programme provides support to parents and carers of children who’ve recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease. It puts longer standing parent and carer members in touch with parents and carers of newly diagnosed children who may be in need of support.
Parents are matched with other parents who have children of a similar age. It is a great service to ask questions from someone who has been in your shoes and knows what you’re going through.
