Join our virtual challenge to help raise awareness of coeliac disease.

#ShineALightOnCoeliac is back for Awareness Week 2022, don’t miss out on the fun! Join in with our virtual challenge from 9-15 May to help us to raise awareness of coeliac disease and to raise the vital funds we need to support our gluten free community.

1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, but only 36% are diagnosed in the UK, so it’s more important than ever to find the estimated 500,000 people suffering with unexplained symptoms. And you can help to #ShineALightOnCoeliac!

Using the theme of 100, choose how you want to shine a light and if you can, raise some funds along the way. We’re aiming to raise £100,000 this year so anything you can do will be a real boost. You can make your challenge as easy or difficult as you like and do it for just Awareness Week or longer, just make it bright! Here are some ideas:

Do something physical

Challenge yourself to 100 press ups each day of Awareness Week
Climb 100 flights of stairs
Score 100 football, basketball or netball goals

Do something creative

Get busy in the kitchen, bake and decorate 100 sparkly gluten free biscuits
Get together with friends to create and share 100 sparkling selfies
Plant 100 seeds, bulbs or plants and look forward to a garden filled with summer colour and scent

Do something as a family

Try juggling for 100 seconds
Organise a 100m egg and spoon race
Create a piece of artwork using 100 beads, sequins or buttons

It really doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you shine a light on coeliac disease this May!
