Take part in research
Researchers often need information from people with coeliac disease and their families to help them understand the condition better and to ensure that research is relevant. Coeliac UK’s membership database is the only database of people with coeliac disease as there is no NHS register of those with the condition, so our members are essential in supporting research.
We are the largest single funder of research into coeliac disease in the UK, and your support can make all the difference.
Potential ways you can support research:
- Our Member Review Panel – help us select research to fund.
- Completing surveys – by post, online, from home or in your local area.
- Attending a focus group or panel discussion to provide your views.
- Attend a one to one interview, face to face, via video call or over the phone.
- Provide a biological sample such as blood, urine, saliva, faeces, tissue for investigation.
- Test new potential treatments in a clinical trial.
- Trial gluten free food products.
