Covid-19 support recognised in memcom excellence awards shortlisting

Coeliac UK has been shortlisted for the Best Member Support During Covid-19 award, in the memcom membership excellence awards 2021

We are excited to share the news that we have been shortlisted for the Best Member Support During Covid-19 award, in the memcom membership excellence awards 2021.

Hilary Croft, Coeliac UK CEO said:

“We are delighted to be a finalist for this award, it is a tribute to the hard work of everyone at Coeliac UK over the past year. The impact of our work during the pandemic exceeded our expectations. We developed new ways to deliver comprehensive information and support which ensured that together with our community, we navigated through the challenges.

Although the pandemic marked a year of uncertainty and change it also represented community, resilience and kindness.”

The judging panel said entries for the Best Member Support During Covid-19 award were particularly hard to judge as there were so many great examples of how the membership sector and the individuals within it have supported members and wider society.

Recent success for Coeliac UK at the memcom excellence awards has included winning the Best use of an app category in 2020 for our Gluten Free on the Move app and in 2019 for our Gluten Free Food Checker app which helps people when shopping for food and drink products.

Celebrating the positive impact that professional bodies, trade associations, membership charities and other not-for-profit membership organisations have on public good, the 2021 award winners will be announced on Thursday 30 September.
